Babar Azam record T20I

An astounding batsman with a brilliant T20 average and a stellar record, Babar Azam is about to break another T20I record while nearing another feat in his career. The right-handed batsman has set his sights to become the fastest cricketer to 1000 runs mark in T20Is. To achieve this milestone Babar Azam needs 95 runs in the next 3 matches which are scheduled to be held in UAE against New Zealand. While nothing can taken be for granted, but the form Babar Azam is in, he has every chance of getting to the mark in this series of 3 T20Is. As at present Virat Kohli has this record to his name as he reached the mark of 1000 runs in his 27th match. Babar Azam has 3 matches to break this record and 4 to equal the feat.

Babar Azam record:

Babar Azam has enjoyed a stellar T20Is career so far as he averages 56.56 with the strike rate of 125.52 in the 24 matches that he has played. With such a tremendous start in his career and with a reliable consistency with which he scores his runs, in no time he has become the backbone of Pakistan's limited overs batting. And with that if he can score another 95 runs in the upcoming 3 match series against New Zealand it will become another Babar Azam record.

Pakistan squad for T20Is against New Zealand:

While Pakistan have already decided to retain the 15 man squad who whitewashed the Aussies with a very dominating performance. The squad has experience in the likes of Muhammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik with the blend of youth in the hard hitting Sahibzada Farhan and the left-arm prodigy Shaheen Shah Afridi. And who could forget Babar Azam record against New Zealand, it has been extra-ordinary.

Babar Azam as an opener:

In the T20I series against Australia Babar Azam got a new role as he opened the innings for Pakistan. It is the role that not only suits him the best but also serves well the team. While sending him as an opener gives Pakistan an option to add another slot in the middle order and Pakistan can have a luxury to play couple of all-rounders. In the recent series against Australia Pakistan played three all-rounders Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan. It not only elongates the batting lineup but also gives a lot of variety to Pakistan's fearsome bowling. Pakistan will start the series against NewZealand as favourites and have every chance to win the 11 T20I series in a row.
